My Used Tesla Model S 60
In late 2020, I purchased my 2013 Tesla Model S 60 with 83k miles for $28k with one thing in mind: I wanted an affordable EV within my strict budget of $30k. I know what you're going to say: "But Blake, why not spend a little extra and get yourself a new Model 3 with better tech." My answer is this: I had a budget, and I had to stick to it. I could sit here and tell you that the Model S is more attractive to me, or that it is more practical, but I don't think I could honestly convince myself that it is better than a new Model 3 SR+. So I won't argue with you there! Haha All I can say is the used Model S is worth considering and that they are well worth the price for anyone who is buying on a budget like I was. I would offer one word of caution: the used Model S is notorious for door handle malfunctions, sun roof motor faults, and other cosmetic defects. Make sure to inspect it thoroughly if you plan to buy. But rest assured, they come with an 8yr Unlimited mile warranty from Tesla AND there are plenty of affordable 3rd party service options for out-of-warranty Teslas. Don't believe the horror stories about $22k battery replacements. These batteries are built to last and they can be repaired rather than fully replaced for MUCH less than the price Tesla charges for full battery pack replacements.
All that said, the Model 3 Performance is my dream car and I plan to upgrade to that once I hit 1000 subscribers on YouTube. Please consider subscribing to my YouTube channel, "Blake Check", to help me reach my goal!
