The Ultimate EV Driving Machine

As soon as I heard about the new EQS SUV I placed a special order and sold my 2020 Model X. MB has built a truly incredible EV and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Tesla does have the advantage in charging network(for now) but Mercedes just announced their own fast charging stations in partnership with ChargePoint with 10000 stations up and running by the end of the decade. Road trips will not be as easy in the EQS but I don’t plan on doing any so no loss there.  

The difference in ride and build quality from Tesla to Mercedes is immeasurable. The EQS is extremely smooth in the steering column as opposed to the MX where it felt like I was grinding rocks every time I cranked the wheel. The EQS is also a buttery smooth ride. The suspension makes city driving a breeze and you hardly feel any bumps or potholes.

    rear axle steering

    Beautiful green colour! :) What about rear axle steering? Does the EQS SUV have it as standard or at extra cost?

    Thanks for the review. A friend of mine has already driven 200.000 km in an EQC 400. He is satisfied, battery degradation only 6-7%.

      Wow! It really seems that MB did their homework with this drivetrain. I’ve actually increased my total range capacity since the purchase.

    BMW iX

    Haven't you been to try the BMW iX? Technically it's an interesting EV, but I don't like the front end design. It's terrible. :))
