Renault Zoe Pros and Cons

Pros:

Nice looking car
22 kw charging is great
Cheap and long service intervals 18,000 miles and about £100 for a service.
Long warranty 5 years 100,000 miles
Real buttons not touch buttons and real knobs to change heating controls not hidden in the touchscreen!
Great boot space for size of car some cars class above no better
Great range for price 180-200 winter and 240-280 miles summer achieved
Auto high beams that work 99% of the time and great led headlights!
Fast enough real life 0-60 speed might not look good on paper but is perfectly acceptable and got power right above National speed limit so you won’t be left wanting if you get the r135 motor ! For the size of car it’s good enough.
Good sounds system for price and has rear speakers
Good discounts off rrp
Good build quality for price
Good dealerships
Two level regenerative braking settings and a blended brake Pedal so you get all the regen you need
Good spec for price
Good infotainment system
Auto handbrake
Not bad seats not the best but good enough to do 420 miles in one day
Not bad space in the rear not good for tall passengers but normal height is good for size of the car

Cons:

Having to pay for arm rest ! And when you do you lose a cup holder !
As with most converted left hand drive cars into right hand drive the glove box is too small to be much use
Bit slow rapid charging speed for 2020 mid 40s in ideal conditions but you get ok speed upto 80% so 10-80% only about 50 minutes not great but we did 1050 miles in 4 days and didn’t wait for the car much ! It ok manufacturers quoting max charging speed but what speed you get average is what matters !
No under bonnet Storage
Regen does not bring car to a stop only down to 5-6 mph so need to use foot break to stop the car.
No adaptive cruise control but it’s not a big thing as ev as so easy to drive.

Great car as a package.

The Zoe is a great car as a package for the money and you can get good discounts , you get good amount of toys for the size of car and it’s well made for price and good warranty ,with good long service intervals at good price, good dealerships network and good size boot for size of the car even some cars a class above not got much more boot space, good headunit and real buttons not touch buttons and real heating controls not on the touchscreen.

  Yer it is a great colour it’s bit like the Tesla red it’s a great rare colour, I’ll try but it’s always mucky so not very good photos. What do you want photos of ?

    I've never seen Zoe in this color before :). I'm seeing mostly green and white. Post some pictures of the side and the back. Thank you. What other cars have you considered? Now I'm choosing my first electric car.

      I’ll post them when it washed next . Depending on your budget? And range and size needs ?! Mgzs or mg5 good car for there money ! Eniro or kona or ioniq are all good cars try a few see what you like . Or people like e208 corsa e or id3 id4 not looked or tried last 3 but get good reviews. Bit if you can afford it best car to go for Tesla model 3 ! Give us more info what’s important to you we will give your our advice!

long-term consumption?

  The long term consumption is about high 3 s miles per kWh last time I worked it out but that is over winter and short journeys in lockdown and I drive it too hard lol ????. Went on trips out last few days mixed roads in 8-12 c and getting mid to high 4 s driving not really eco and have heating on every trip and preheating when it’s cold so it’s coming back up nicely! Last summer was getting high 5 s early 6s on mixed roads driving at speed limits with ac on auto with high of 6.8 miles per kWh on flat road in mid summer driving eco but upto 50 mph over 22 miles! So not bad I think
